Approach
How we start
Tell us about your business
What you do, since when, and whether you work as a sole trader or through a BV (Dutch private limited company).
We set things up
We arrange the authorisations we need. Switching from your current adviser is free.
You send, we file
You send your receipts and invoices. We prepare and file your returns and tell you what to pay.
Sole trader or BV?
Most entrepreneurs start as a sole trader (eenmanszaak): simple, and the profit is taxed in your own income tax return. A BV is a separate company with its own corporate income tax return and annual accounts. Which one pays off depends on your profit. We work it out with your own figures for € 195.
Registering your business
You register your business with the KVK (the Dutch Chamber of Commerce). To register as a sole trader you need a BSN (citizen service number). The Dutch tax authorities then send your VAT number to you.
The year you arrive or leave
In the year you move to or from the Netherlands, you file a special income tax return, the M form. It covers the part of the year you lived here and the part you did not. We prepare it for € 295.
Small business scheme (KOR)
Is your turnover below € 20,000 a year? Then the small business scheme can exempt you from charging VAT, but you then also cannot reclaim VAT on your costs. Whether it pays off depends on your costs and customers. We check it and register you in or out for € 45.
Logging in: DigiD and eHerkenning
For your income tax you log in with DigiD (the Dutch government login), the personal login of the Dutch government. A BV logs in with eHerkenning, the Dutch business login, instead. You can authorise us, so we file your returns for you.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work in English?
Yes. You can write and call in English and receive every explanation in English. Letters and forms from the Dutch tax authorities are in Dutch; we tell you what they say and what you need to do.
What does it cost?
For a sole trader or partnership € 89 per month. For a Dutch BV € 150 per month. Tax advice beyond your returns costs € 95 an hour. All amounts exclude VAT.
I already have an accountant. Can I switch?
Yes. Switching from your current adviser is free in every monthly package.
Does my BV need eHerkenning?
To log in to the Dutch tax authorities yourself, yes: eHerkenning at level EH3 or higher, from an approved provider. When we file the returns of your BV, you usually do not need your own eHerkenning.
